The NAWCC School of Horology offers three Professional Watch Courses that may be taken independent of the standard programs offered. Availability is limited and there may be a waiting list.

WP-300: Horological Lathes

The history of horological lathes is presented through lectures, demonstrations and hands-on applications. Training includes disassembly/assembly, cleaning/oiling and the operation of the major lathe attachments.

The course meets Monday through Friday for 3 weeks from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM

Session 9A, July 27 - August 14, 2009 - Tuition $1785, Lab Fee $75, Registration $15, Total $1875

WP-800: Watch Technician

The course covers the servicing of battery watches, quartz movements, crystals, crowns, batteries, stems, bands, bracelets, and case tubes.

The course meets Monday through Friday for 2 weeks from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM

Session 9A December 7 - 18, 2009 - Tuition $1190, Lab Fee $70, Registration $15, Total $1275

WP-1000: Chronographs

The history of the chronograph watch and modern chronograph servicing is presented through lectures, demonstrations, and hands-on application. The ETA 7750, today's most widely used Swiss chronograph, will be introduced in this course.

Training includes disassembly/assembly and proper servicing, including movement adjustment. The ETA Swiss Lab training protocol is employed in the course and each student will receive the complete chronograph watch they worked on.

PREREQUISITE: Watchmaking Skills acceptable to the instructor

The course meets Monday through Friday for 3 weeks from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
