The NAWCC School of Horology offers three Professional Watch Courses that may be taken independent of the standard programs offered. Availability is limited and there may be a waiting list. WP-300: Horological LathesThe history of horological lathes is presented through lectures, demonstrations and hands-on applications. Training includes disassembly/assembly, cleaning/oiling and the operation of the major lathe attachments. Session 9A, July 27 - August 14, 2009 - Tuition $1785, Lab Fee $75, Registration $15, Total $1875 WP-800: Watch TechnicianThe course covers the servicing of battery watches, quartz movements, crystals, crowns, batteries, stems, bands, bracelets, and case tubes. Session 9A December 7 - 18, 2009 - Tuition $1190, Lab Fee $70, Registration $15, Total $1275 WP-1000: ChronographsThe history of the chronograph watch and modern chronograph servicing is presented through lectures, demonstrations, and hands-on application. The ETA 7750, today's most widely used Swiss chronograph, will be introduced in this course. Training includes disassembly/assembly and proper servicing, including movement adjustment. The ETA Swiss Lab training protocol is employed in the course and each student will receive the complete chronograph watch they worked on.
